Wildcat Basketball Camp to be held at PCHS, June 16-19 Print E-mail

The Pendleton County High School Basketball Coaching Staff along with junior varsity and varsity players will be holding a Wildcat Basketball Camp June 16-19 at the high school. There will also be special guests to speak to the campers about their experience playing college basketball and to answer questions.

The purpose of the camp is to introduce, improve, and reinforce the fundamental skills of basketball. There will also be competition among campers for prizes as well as league games.

The camp is organized into two separate instructional sessions to better accommodate the needs of individual campers.

The first session will be for students entering second grade through fifth grade. Camp time will be from 8-11 a.m.

The second session will be for students entering sixth grade through ninth grade. Camp time is from noon - 3 p.m.

Cost of the camp is $50 and includes a T-shirt. Checks or money orders can be made payable to Keaton Belcher, Head Basketball Coach, Pendleton County High School, 2359 Hwy 27 North, Falmouth, KY 41040.

Future Wildcats Basketball League Tournament to be held Print E-mail

Gage Kuper, third grader at Northern Elementary looks to inbound the ball in the Future Wildcats Youth Basketball League on Sunday, March 9. The league has battled the weather this winter but picked back up and looking to finish out the season with the tournament the week of March 17-20. Official Darrin Gregg, also pictured, has been a longtime supporter of the recreation program.

The Pendleton County Wildcats hosted border rival Harrison County last week in the 38th District Tournament with a berth in the 10th Region Tournament at stake. Unfortunately, the season came to an end with a 64-36 loss at the hands of the Thorobreds.

The Wildcats basketball team scored its sixth victory of the season last week with a home win over Walton-Verona. The team then traveled to face border rival Harrison County last Friday, January 31 and were defeated by a 17-point margin.
