While the Pendleton County Ladycats had a game plan to offset the experience and inside presence of the Harrison County Fillies, shots didn’t fall for them and they ended their season with a first round loss in district play, falling 44-18.

With an overpowering inside presence that has scored 2,000 points in her career, coach Scott Collins knew that stopping Fillies’ senior center, Jordan Doram, was going to be a major task but one that the Ladycats would have to accomplish to have a chance for the victory in the Relay for Life Rivalry Game.

The Ladycats traveled to Carlisle on Friday, January 10 to play 38th District Rival and favorite Nicholas County and found out that there is some work to do as district tournament draws near. They lost 67-30.

Playing the opening game of Alumni Night, the Ladycats fell behind early to the Beechwood Lady Tigers hot shooting and were never able to get back into the game, losing 66-29.

Ladycats pick up first victory against Easely Print E-mail

The Ladycats started the season off losing their first four but a victory over Easely, SC in the Omni Seahawk Classic in Hilton Head was a much needed boost to the young Ladycats confidence.

Ladycats drop home opener to St. Henry Print E-mail

A much taller and more physical St. Henry Lady Crusaders team visited Pendleton County High School on Saturday, December 14 and were able to use a suffocating press on the Ladycats to win 79-48 with a 27-7 first quarter setting the tone of the game.

Ladycats drop season opener to Calvary Christian Print E-mail

Two things emerged from the Ladycats opening game in the Bracken County Classic versus Calvary Christian, the Cats are young at every position but have talent that will need to grow and key players that have experience must stay out of foul trouble to carry the team while the youngsters are learning.
