Tennis team honors seniors, prepares for boys & girls regional tournament

The PCHS Tennis program held senior night festivities on April 29 and recognized Lexie Teegarden and Cay Harper prior to the teams matches with Grant County.

All three girls doubles teams were victorious as Harper and her partner Lilly Ashcraft, the team of Chloe Holbrook and Sophie Richie, and the sister duo of Emma and Kara Bishop won their respective matches. In boys action, Josh Browning and Colton Bishop won in their single matches.

Team head coach Dillon Feltner wanted to express his gratitude to Copes & Lenihan Dental sponsoring the day's events and providing t-shirts for both teams.

The tennis teams now set their sights on the regional tournament which begins on May 10. Boys competition will be held at Scott High School in Taylor Mill while girls matches will be played at Campbell County High School.

Representing Pendleton County will be Lexie Teegarden and Leah Rardin in girls singles matches, as well as Cay Harper, Lilly Ashcraft , Chloe Holbrook, Sophie Richie  playing doubles. In boys action, Braydon Askren will compete in singles while Josh Craig, Gavin Webster, Josh Browning, and Colton Bishop will be playing in doubles matches.
